Instructions

  2. Knead and Let Rise: On a floured surface, knead the dough for 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and allow to rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours until doubled in size.
  3. Make the Caramel Filling: While the dough rises, melt plant-based butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, natural caramel sauce, and natural gelling agent. Stir constantly until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.
  4. Assemble the Rolls: Deflate the risen dough gently and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface. Spread the caramel filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around edges. Roll tightly from the longer side into a log.
  5. Cut and Second Rise: Slice the roll into 1.5-inch thick pieces. Arrange them in a greased baking dish spaced apart for expansion. Cover and let rise for 30 to 45 minutes until puffy.
