Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 4 slices smoked turkey bacon, cut into small strips
  • 1 cup plant-based cheese (such as plant-based mozzarella or cheddar-style), shredded
  • 3 tablespoons natural butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon natural gelling agent
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper (natural), to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Slice the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Mince the garlic and finely chop the parsley. Cut the smoked turkey bacon into small strips for even crisping during cooking.
  2. Cook the Linguine: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve one cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set it aside.
  3. Sauté the Smoked Turkey Bacon and Chicken: Heat a pan over medium heat. Cook the smoked turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and set aside. In the same pan, add chicken pieces and sauté until golden and fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper as needed.
  4. Make the Cowboy Butter Sauce: In the same pan, melt the natural butter. Stir in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Add vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural), apple cider vinegar, and the natural gelling agent to thicken the sauce. Pour in reserved pasta water gradually to reach desired sauce consistency.
  5. Combine and Toss: Add the cooked linguine, crispy smoked turkey bacon, and plant-based cheese to the sauce. Gently toss all ingredients together until the noodles are evenly coated in the creamy sauce and the cheese begins to melt.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top for color and flavor. Serve immediately for the best warm and creamy experience.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic for the best aroma and depth of flavor in the sauce.
  • Cook pasta al dente so it retains a slight bite and holds the sauce well.
  • Reserve pasta water to help loosen the sauce and ensure it clings to the linguine.
  • Cook turkey bacon until crispy for texture contrast.
  • Serve while warm to enjoy the creamy sauce at its best.
